About Brookhaven
Brookhaven is a sect of downtown Atlanta just north of North Druid Hills and south of Sandy Springs. Originally known as Cross Keys, this settlement was first founded in 876 with a population of 250 people. Over time, it became incorporated in 1924 as North Atlanta only to be disincorporated by in 1965. Eventually though, commercial and residential development grew again and the city of Brookhaven became incorporated in 2012.
With such close proximity to downtown Atlanta, there is plenty to do in Brookhaven. With festivals and events year round, as well as premiere shopping and dining in town and nearby, you can always find something fun! Different neighborhoods/districts of Brookhaven include Historic Brookhaven, Brookhaven Village, Lynwood Park, Peachtree Road, North Brookhaven, Buford Highway, and Lenox Park.
