About Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge is an adorable town nearly on the Tennessee-Georgia line, right in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains of Fannin County, with just under 1,300 residents. The entire area of the city is 2.4 square miles, all being land. The mainstay occupation for residents in Fannin County was farming prior to the 1800’s, and lumber became another industry popular to the area by the 19th and 20th centuries.
Today, there is plenty of outdoor and local attractions to the area to keep busy. This is the perfect city for anyone trying to escape the hustle and bustle of the city! In Blue Ridge, major attractions are the Blue Ridge Scenuc Railway, Mercier Orchards, The Swan Drive-In Theater, and the Ocoee Whitewater Center. With all these old-timey draws are perfect for this small town and allows it to keep its charm!
