A Bit About The Cities History And The Future
The majority of lands in the city limits (the 700-acre Berkeley Lake Properties) was developed by Frank Coggins in the late 1940s. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 1,574. According to the 2000 census, Berkeley Lake is the most affluent community in metro Atlanta and all of Georgia. Since 1994, five new subdivisions have been added to nearly complete the development of all the land within the city limits.
